Newsflash: Safestay's £1 bed bonanza!

I can’t believe it’s been a whole YEAR since I reviewed Safestay hostel. Over the past 12 months the hostel has gone from strength to strength, topping all sorts of lists (including Visit Britain’s best luxury hostels) and well and truly living up to the term ‘poshtel’. Situated in eclectic Elephant & Castle (on the bakerloo and northern tube lines), Safestay is central, well laid-out and as the name suggests, safe. The building and decor are gorgeous - and breakfast is free!

To celebrate its first birthday, Safestay are releasing 80 beds throughout July at just a quid. One pound. That is one hundred pennies.

The catch: £1 stays are available for Sunday nights only (that’s the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th) - ideal for a long weekend.
